Once a smalltime hit man for the mob, the man who would become the Joker fell into a vat of toxic chemicals which bleached his skin, ruined his face, and destroyed his sanity. Poor guy had one really rotten day. Discarding his past and dubbing himself the Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime is an agent of chaos and destruction, routinely breaking out of Arkham Asylum to wreak havoc on Gotham and the Batman. An experienced fighter despite lacking superpowers he has even gone toe-to-toe with the Batman on occasion, utilizing an odd and unpredictable fighting style he developed himself which takes full advantage of his agility and instability. He augments his skills and ruthless determination with a deadly arsenal of weapons both mundane and strange. Amongst his more odd equipment is acid squirting flowers, spring-loaded shoes, trick guns, deadly joy buzzers, exploding marbles, and his trademark Smilex venom, which leaves his victims to die laughing. The Joker himself remains immune to all known toxins and poisons, including his own. Joker is lethal and unpredictable, never hesitating to deliver a deadly punch line and always finding a way to cheat death, laughing all the way.

Exposed to a powerful performance enhancing drug, corrupt corporate executive Norman Osborn lost his mind and became the Green Goblin, a cackling menace of the New York skyline. Goblin's strength has been increased nearly tenfold of what it had been previously, ditto for his agility, and he routinely is able to smack around superheroes with relative ease and trade blows with Spider-Man on a routine basis. His intelligence has already raised a few points, this has however come at the cost of decreased sanity and a manic personality disorder which manifests in various ways. His trademark method of transportation is the Goblin Glider, armed to the teeth with all manner of nasty weaponry including machine guns, exploding pumpkins, razor batarangs and a pair of lethally sharp blades. A suit of chainmail protects his body from harm, and a built-in gas mask keeps him safe from his own gases. The Goblin is arrogant and prideful, feeling nothing and no one can match his genius or his raw power, and frequently falls victim to his own traps and machinations, including the one time he was impaled on his own glider. Ouch. Despite that, he always finds some way to return or pass on his legacy and continues in his mission to squash the bug one way or another.
